Book "Creolizing the Modern" by Manuela Boatcă and Anca Parvulescu receives Barrington Moor Award

We are happy to announce that the recent publication by Manuela Boatcă und Anca Parvulescu, "Creolizing the Modern: Transylvania across Empires" (Cornell University Press, 2022), received two more awards.

The American Sociological Association announced that the book will receive the Barrington Moore Award of the Comparative and Historical Sociology Section, as well as a honorable mention from the Immanuel Wallerstein Memorial Book Award. Both awards will be officially handed over at the annual congress of the American Sociological Association in the United States in August.
